On December 27, 2020, President Trump has signed the $900 billion COVID-19 Relief bill passed by Congress before Christmas. Among the provisions of the COVID-19 Relief bill are $600 stimulus payments, another round of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for small business, Simplified Forgiveness for PPP loans of $150,000 or less with a one-page attestation, and many other provisions. SBA now has 10 business days to develop new guidance for the PPP program.

First Community Bank is closely monitoring the developments of the COVID-19 relief bill and we await guidance provided by SBA. Once the SBA provides guidance on the new round of PPP loans, First Community will provide further information including when applications will be accepted.
